by bender79 on Apr. 14, 2015
No ice on the lake for quite some time. Just out yesterday caught 7 between my dad and I with 3 of them being over the 50 cm mark. Released them all. Windy but some pretty good fishing.
by mike8423 on Apr. 10, 2015
Went 2 days in a row for a couple hours with only 1 to show but a dandy at that all of 60 cm.

by Johnny Ray on Apr. 5, 2015
Went with a few friends this past fri sat and had a decent trip using balanced leeches and black Chromies . Weather was decent as well with tolerable wind. Good fishing if your heading down. You rock Hat!

by MarshallAngler on Apr. 1, 2015
Heading out there today, anyone else gonna try opening day!?

by bender79 on Mar. 24, 2015
getting close to that time again, has anyone seen if the ice is coming off?

by bender79 on Feb. 18, 2015
Just curious if anyone would prefer a slot size in the lake rather than just 1 over 50cm. Something like keep 1 between 45 and 50cm, anything under/over would get thrown back. Would give the bigger ones a chance to see just how big they would get.

by Dickweed on Sep. 29, 2014
I kinda think u might mean a 57CM Trout not a 57" Inch. Because a 57 cm is a very nice trout regardless! Cuz 57" would be a 144.78 so 145cm, which im sure would shatter all prov trout records. Great fish either way
by Pete06 on Sep. 29, 2014
Two casts with a medium spoon caught me a 57"rainbow.... AWAOME!

Only caught 2 fish

by iFish Guest on May. 25, 2013
Great lake, allot of rocks around shore making it easy to go down. Decent medium sized fish and allot of bites.

by iFish Guest on May. 10, 2013
great fishing! lots of 14+ inch fish off the shore. used prince nymphs on the fly rod and a regular spoon on the casting rod, both seemded to work pretty good.

by diablo11 on May. 6, 2013
Slow fishing today caught 6 all small 1 mid size large reisivor

by iFish Guest on Apr. 22, 2013
If you're not into fly fishing we've ALWAYS had good lick with size #7 Helin Flatfish lures. Standby colors are frog, perch, black glitter. Will take brightly colored ones as well. No stores really stock them in Medicine Hat though, have to pick them up in Wholesale Sports Calgary.

by iFish Guest on Apr. 13, 2013

by Mhcanuck on Apr. 13, 2013

by Bird dog on Oct. 3, 2012
Awesome fishery , was better a few years ago but still worth the drive

by Marathon man on Jul. 16, 2012
Been 6 years since last there. Isn't the same fishery now...but still fun. Fish there now just need time to grow.

by Alberta Fly Fisher on Jun. 5, 2012
I can not say anything negative about this lake. Myself and a good friend went out on Sunday, He brang in over 20 plus fish, and my self over a dozen with nothing measuring under 16 inches. An amazing lake, from the boat dock across to the southeast corner we had the most action.

by Flyfishingnut on May. 5, 2012
I agree, this lake should be catch and release. There are lots of lakes close by to catch trout for the bbq like Michelle, Cavan, Reesor and Spruce Coulee. I don't know why anyone would want to keep a big one to eat when they usually taste like mud anyways. It would be nice to be able to go and have a real chance at a true trophy rainbow but as soon as they are 50cm they are in the back of someones truck. Sad.

by Fly fisher on May. 4, 2012
Has the potential to be a world class trout lake, but limit is set wrong...how do you grow a trophy fish when your allowed to keep the big ones. Lake should be catch and release only.

by kitchen on Apr. 10, 2012
is the ice off?

by Coilslinger on Apr. 9, 2012
Lakes looking healthy this year, fish are biting consistently.

by FishinChris on Aug. 3, 2011
Caught 2 average sized rainbows in 45 mins of casting spinners. Water high and lots of growth around lake making access difficult.

by ramtracker on Jul. 8, 2011
limit every time!
by nemocat on May. 2, 2020
May 2 2020 fished for 5 hours and not one bite for me or husband. Nobody else getting bites either. Have not had a bite in 2018 or 2019. Something is very wrong. Please have check by biologists.
