Haven't fished here in years, used to fish and camp/party with my buddies here or at the other texaco pond a lot a few years back. (We always cleaned up our mess before we left). Sometimes we'd go to the river (Clearwater) or one of the creeks that flow into it just outside of town. Anyone catch much in this one lately? Might try a bit of fishing there if I come up to Fort Mac again in the summer.

Went here on July 10, 2016. Nothing here. We were using worms, minnows on bobbers and tried casting with spinners at both Texaco and Texaco East ponds. No evidence of fish in either pond what so ever. Stayed for a couple hours.

Note that Texaco East now has a fishing closure due to suspected invasive species. http://esrd.alberta.ca/recreation-public-use/invasive-species/fish.aspx

Lots of fish jumping, didn't catch anything. I hear shrimp works well, trout are picky about artificial lures. Going back tomorrow with shrimp!
