Somebody threw pike in here at some point, they bred, and now that's about all that's in here. At least they're an okay eating size...

by AdamLee on May. 12, 2018
Lake is nice for walking, not great for catching fish though.

by Riverbear on Jun. 29, 2017

by Tipsy-up on Jun. 28, 2017

2 guys 5 keepers for a total of 4 Lb's. Biggest rainbow was 2Lb. Hits pretty much most of the morning. Small jig with " trout marshmallow bait" pink, or grey seems to work. Very cold outside 24" of ice, tent and heater a must.

Went out with a couple buddies, caught two 7 1/2 pikes! Very shocked to find them that big in there. Didn't catch anything else in about 3 hours

by LRD V8R on Jun. 16, 2016
danwood If they're rising try a small mosquito pattern or foam beetle. If not, go with a 52 Buick, Wooley or San Juan Worm

Cause I've tried everything Taft worked last year for pike and I got nothin at all

by Riverbear on May. 13, 2016
There is pike. Leave them in. Or else. They were not dumped in by anyone. This pond along with the water on the other side of the highway are loosely still connected with sandy/nakumun chain. There is also a few species of suckers in this body. It was all part of a much larger/older system.

by Family on May. 12, 2016
I understand that it's just they are much more fun to fight, and I never kept a pile from this pond and I know they themselves don't stalk the pond with pike
by NorthernYaker on May. 12, 2016
Of course the don't stock pike in a trout pond, those idiots are part of the "bucket brigade" illegally introducing fish, which is why you can't keep them.

by Family on May. 12, 2016
