Hi guys from Birch Lake last Monday. You are from Sylvan Lake. You had a white truck and fished by the island. You caught one nice rainbow, one little brookie and another little rainbow. We talked a few times. You had cameras, sonars and a blue tent. Also, you came in on the bad road. Anyway, I would like to make contact with you to go fish another lake this next week: WEDNESDAY? I will meet you in Sylvan, pay your gas and buy you A & W burgers. This lake is out by Nordegg. I know the spots to fish on it. Your brother caught a nice brown on Birch last summer. If you are interested please contact me at my on this website or phone Ron at 587-273-0234.You will enjoy this lake, but will need to have crampons.

Went out Grouse hunting around Birch Lake and the Fish and Game were setting up the orange thin ice snow fence and they said people are catching nice fish all types of Trout. Just thought I would do an update so people know what's up out there.

No longer able to drive down the hill to launch a boat. Hand launch only down a short, steep, muddy hill. Should keep some of the gas motors away.

Out there today Sept 4th. From 7 tell 1130am. Not a bite on spinners or spoons. And nothing on the bottom rig I tried for a little while. I'm an a mature fisherman so I might not have made the rig properly also. Two guys on a small boat with trolling motor seemed to have more success. I'll be back nice place.

Fishing hit and miss, last time out landed a dozen rainbows and a few brookies. This lake looks more like the Walmart parking lot these days. Was out last week mid week and there was no lie over 30 trucks parked in the parking lot and probably a dozen on the lake which blows my mind considering it's a foot access lake only.

Ok day fishing had a couple brooks saw some small Browns and some decent rainbows. Terrible luck from the lake lost a phone and left my tackle box I'm thinking probably in the parking lot. Poorluck to have lost a phone through the ice and if anyone's seen my tackle box that would be nice I know that's a long shot. 16 inches of ice. Give me a ring if you have my tackle not hoping for anything. Blue Plano should have three licenses in it. 5872231665

by jordonz28 on Jan. 18, 2016

What is the legal length to keep the trout here? Is it a foot?

by Ganjadiggs on Jan. 17, 2016

I'm hoping that they are talking about the other birch lake with pike and whites

Star Star Star Star Star

by Jacquard24 on Jan. 16, 2016

I have heard many reports of pike and burbot being caught going up tomorrow for Brookies hopefully no pike nothing like an invasive species to ruin a good fishery

by geedub on Jan. 12, 2016

I was out last weekend, far north end of lake , spring running into lake there. Fishing was great, big whites, pike , ling, 10 walleye, I never caught so many fish in all my days.

Star Star Star Star Star

by OnTheFly1984 on Jan. 12, 2016

Apparently there have been reports of pike being caught at birch. Can anyone confirm wether or not this is true?

Star Star Star Star Star

by Athlete fisherman on Jan. 6, 2016

You are allowed to keep 3 trout any species combined but only 1 rainbow. I believe that's what the regulations are .

Star Star Star Star Star

by Dedo on Jan. 6, 2016

The fish r very good eating

Star Star Star Star Star

by petetherocker on Jan. 3, 2016

you are NEVER allowed 5 of each species.

by Jayjayjay on Jan. 3, 2016

And is it true you should not eat the fish out of this lake? Lol

by Jayjayjay on Jan. 3, 2016

It says on this your not allowed to keep any. I need to pick up a set of regs. In the mean time does anybody know if you are? Because someone told me 5 of each.....
