I camp in the west canal and mostly fish there. Some small like straight out from the boat launch. Only ever had some ok action in the bay I marked in the evening. Yellow jig head and tail with a minnow casting to shore as I scoot around the bay. 4 pike in about an hour.

All in this bay it’s about 3 FOW to get into and then drops to 30 FOW. Just trolled around this loop casting to the shore and good action.

06Aug2019 Fishing for 2 days and not even a bit. Tried many different areas and nothing. Talked to the camp caretaker and nobody is having luck. Water to murky from all the rain and runoff.

Had my boat tied up on shore at the campground overnight. Came back the next morning to find they raised the reservoir level a couple feet. Had to wade out 50 yards to retrieve my now free-floating boat

I was catching Jack at the very western side of the reserve. There were Walleye along the southern side around the powerlines. Not sure if you can keep those. Trout are in the pond further down the road, or go to the pond past Blue Ridge-good trout fishing there. Turn right just before the river & follow the road in. Really nice place in there.

Anyone know where to catch fish on the reservoir? We tried weedbeds and everywhere else and not one bite in 2 days. The beaches were nice though, and tubing and skiing was lots of fun.. but it would be nice to find the fish!

Best pike fishing I've had year after year on August long weekend , hard to find them but when you do it's none stop action , wife was seven months pregnant and pulled in a 15 pounded from shore , find thick weed beds and rock formations and you'll catch fish
