Lake was winter killed. Dead grayling everywhere.

Short little hike in. The water was crystal clear and the greyling were rising all day. Caught using dry files. What a great little gem.

Spectacular little lake. 4.5 hours on the water and over two dozen beautiful Grayling. Well worth packing in a belly boat. Still C&R though folks so a little dismayed to see fish heads and guts in the water by the shore.

still nothing in the lake. no bites, no rises, nothing. Can someone advise if Big Iron also had winter kill? Thanks

Too bad 99% of the fish winterkilled - someone please update if it is restocked. Hiked up late last night, there was a big hatch and not a single fish rose.

Caught nothing with spinner bait except a few underwater logs

Ice cover still 90% , but in last phases of breakup. Winterkills around entire edge of lake, counted at least 20. Hope some are still alive in there.

Lots of fun if your fly fishing. If your a rookie though, it would be a lot easier with a belly boat or something because the trees are so thick.

Went up to the pond this weekend and very disappointing that the pond had no fish in it. There aren't to many places you can fish for grayling. Don't know what happened but the water looked murky and had kinda of an algae bloom look to it. I felt bad for the father and son who halled all there stuff up there(floats and such)to spend a day fishing. Why can't a conservation officer put up a sign in the parking lot to let people know, don't understand!
