How's the water right now? Is the algae / weeds bad yet?

Lac st Anne is UPSTREAM and the river is DOWNSTEAM. Devils does hold a few rare big ones. Get a few keystones in some people and well...

Despite a lot of boats on the lake, caught a couple walleye including one of the biggest ones I've ever caught around here at about 20" long

Was out this morning from 6am until 1pm. We caught 20 pike from all over the lake but the two biggest ones we got were caught about 50-75 meters south east f the bridge. The biggest was 67cm and I was going to keep it but as I picked it up out of the water my leader broke and the fish got away with my curved 5 of diamonds still in its face. The fishing from shore is usually slow by the boat launch but you can fish from shore right at the bridge and there is always lots of action.

by lotksie on Jun. 5, 2018

yes, you can fish by the boat lunch and by the bridge.

by Cajed1 on Jun. 3, 2018

Sure do it's further downstream at Lac Ste Anne, or even bigger upstream at the NSR. Big fish don't live in devils. LMFAO

Was out on the water fishing Tuesday evening for a few hours. We caught about 14 pike all small though but a fish is a fish. Anyone know what part of the lake the big fish hang out in.

I went out 2 weeks ago just to fire up the boat. Lake left a brown film on the boat. Had to pressure wash it off. Enter at your own risk

Plenty of people out today. Tons of ice. Guys driving everywhere but I have heard of springs here so I walked on. Fishing for a few hours from 11am to 1pm. No bites on either jigs with maggots and also no bites on tip ups with minnows.

by Wood Dude on Jan. 17, 2018

Where is a good place to catch perch here? Have some relatives in town this weekend that have never caught a perch and would like to try. I’ve never been to this lake. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes there are perch in this lake an yes they are large. But be prepared to put in many Hrs/days into finding them. Then finding what they are biting on and then keeping they pike away. I have personally caught nice perch there including One day with 6 in the 15" range. A nice perch but still not 2.5lbs unless it been eating lead. More like approaching the 2 lb mark. For my money I would try south buck in deep water 25ft plus. Use a small five of diamonds tipped with maggots or small yellow jig. Had much more success there.

I've been told there are only pike in this lake yet some comments below are mentioning perch. I've also been told there are two devils lakes. Is the one east of Onoway the one with perch?

I was out 01/04/2018 ice over 20" few people out don't think anyone found a keeper, my concern is I fished 20 holes all over lake and every hole ice had a purple color in displaced ice and in hole. I am told it is from high Phosfate and Nitrate any one else experience this or am I on drugs.

10 inches of ice. Some real nice pike today. Caught 6 and 3 of them were in the 50 to 55 cm range. Fished in 18 ft of water. Don't bother bringing your fish cam, water is too murky to see anything.
