Very slow fishing.... me and my boys were out and didn’t catch any after about 4 hours at it and went through the hole tackle box of hooks with no luck. Better off at other lakes.

Easy access now with all the snow melt going on. Bit of surface water on top but still lots of ice to fish from 2 feet until this weekend season ends. Action was steady, video of a small pike attacking my bait is really cool 1 class A walleye half a dozen smaller and lots of small pike. No whites or Burbot seen at all.

Going out tomorrow, should I have any concern about driving a tundra out into the ice either near Gunn or val Quentin side??? Also where are the bites happening depth wise? 8-12 feet deep or more in the 15-25 foot deep range? I'm set up to fish for anything so lures and Riggs and tackle don't matter to me, just looking for fish. Thanks for any input. Happy fishing everyone.

Hi DdotM we have been fishing here for a few years now targeting the Whites. I can tell you patience brings good size whites but not lots of them. Small wire worms and no bait seems to be the key. It is not safe to drive your truck through the ice but if you stay on top you should be good!

First time heading out and fishing in this lake, is there any good tips for catching white fish or any fish in general in this lake and also depth, bait, lures, etc. any pointers would be good! and I would like to know if its safe enough to drive a light truck through the ice. Tnx Tight Lines everyone!
