Still safe to drive on. By the end of the day there’s a bit of flood water but nothing really to worry about. A bit of slush at the north end boat launch by day’s end.

The north end of coal lake on both sides of Hwy 616 always has people fishing from shore, the south end at of coal lake has decent shore fishing but you can also fish the spillway south of the dam.

Ifish Alberta has not updated it yet but the laws changed, you can now only keep one pike but it's no size restrictions so those 20%u201D pike are now dinner.

Was fishing the spillway this morning and caught a decent size pike and then stopped and fished the south east corner of the lake from shore at the edge of the weed bed and caught another so there's definitely fish

Fished from noon to 4 and saw a half dozen on the cam. Only one bit and I landed it on the ice. Lil bugger ! Water is kinda murky can only see about ten feet out. Better luck next time. That's why it's called fishing not catching.
