Decided to try a new spot for trout. found this gem of a lake and spent Saturday afternoon...unfortunately we had zero action...trying shrimp and artificial small garlic bites...no one else there..now I know why..will come back with the fly rod soon enough

Was catching some off the dock on the fly rod and casting with meps and marsh. A dad and his son were having the same luck before I got there. Has anyone caught any through the ice yet? Last fish caught was in October/14.

Anyone been out lately?

Park at the boat launch, no need to go in the campground. I've been down here a few times this winter and have had lots of success in about 12 feet of water just out from the dock.

Nice little lake, about 3 feet of ice on it.. We didn't get any bites or land anything but heard some of the guys in the other group cheering loudly as they landed a couple.. All in all if I knew the lake a little better I imagine we would have been able to pull something out.
