Campsite at rock island has been since at least last year. MD of opportunity bought the land, & they are still netting there as well.

by iFish Guest on Jun. 12, 2013
There is no road access in Argo and quad only sled in winter. Fishing is ok but not worth it for all the hassle in. Best access is south shore. North shore has a native trapline with cabin. Your better off at calling lake or rock island. Rock island has not been netted in a couple years so fishing should be really good since campsites have been closed as well for 2 years.

The cable is right between the 2 wildlife provincial park signs. The private trail sign says a guys name, trap line. You can get around the left of it. Once at the lake theres a sign from the park saying they are taking everything out of there mid july, boats, buildings everything. Makes you feel like your trespsing on provincial park land to go fishing

by iFish Guest on Jun. 3, 2013
Where was that cable and cabin exactly? Last couple years I have gone up the gravel road to the left of beaver dam and got onto the trail that way.

by iFish Guest on Jun. 2, 2013
I'd say somebody bought the land built a cabin and dosnt want people crossing his/her land

by iFish Guest on Jun. 2, 2013
Hey anyone know whats up with the private trail sign and cable blocking the access? Theres a new log cabin at the lake access too.

Been twice this year. Pike and perch only so far. Kinda slow when we were out. Decent pike not huge, 65-70cm. Fair perch, seen some big ones on camera.
