Few hours of fishing yesterday morning. Four walleye of different sizes, 1 nice sized perch and three pike. Too bad about the blue green algae, worst I've seen it here. Walleye moved deeper during the morning from 16ft down to 20ft.

Another winter season is quickly coming to an end. We just pulled our 90 day Mistress off the lake this weekend with no complaints. Never skunked with over a 100 pike caught and released this year. We have been fishing this lake for 20 plus years and this year was the first time we seen FnW out here. A welcomed sight for sure. With the pressures our lakes are seeing lately I have no complaints with them doing their jobs. Looking forward to open water soon and wishing tight lines to all.

Excellent fishing. Couldn't find the perch but lots of luck fishing for pike. Don't want to be this guy but it was my first time fishing the lake and on my way out I passed by where there was a tent setup and they had kept five pike all well under the limit some of the pike not even reaching half way to the 63 cm. I have zero respect for poachers and will report you if you do not follow the regulations. We have enough problems with fishing pressures on lakes in Alberta without people adding additional pressure by overharvesting fish. These northern lakes are cold, the fish grow slowly and the ecosystems are very delicate so please have some respect. I enjoyed my first time at this lake I would like to enjoy my hundredth.

5 hours fishing by all the shacks. Drilled 20+ holes and only saw a couple pike on the camera, one with a big growth that looked like a ping pong ball on its mouth. 3rd time there second time skunked and not one perch yet. Not sure if i will be going back.

The worms are parasites that start in birds throats eg.pelicans. If the perch have small black spots they most likely have worms in my past experience. Sad to here as I am going to explore this lake tomorrow.

Was here yesterday caught a few perch to take home. When i cleaned them they had long thin white worms just under the skin along the back, they almost looked like tape worms just smaller.Very disapointing, because they were decent 10s.Does anyone know what this could be?,and could you still eat the fish?

The lake was like a zoo on the weekend. Hundreds of trucks. I was there Saturday and a buddy of mine went Sunday. Both days were insane. I won't be going back any more this year for sure.

Posting stuff like that online and it will be a long time before you see any more nice perch. A lake that close to Edmonton. Come on. Tell your uncle, friend, coworker but you don't need to post it for thousands of people to see

Nope not at all, all I'm saying is i have seen it before on lakes including this lake and it sucks when it happens. But there's nothing you can do about it there are way too many fishermen per lake in Alberta. Just is

Yep I agree, I've seen it before on this lake about 15 years ago, Fishing was awesome and word got out, next thing you know lake is packed and next 10 years can't find fish and more. Mark my words 2 years from now at this rate it will be the same and you won't be able to find any for at least 10 again

People really no how to kill and destroy a lake was like a bunch of sea gulls today no respect for other people I was the first one one the lake spent first 20 minutes picking up garbage then as they swarmed the lake drive 3 feet from my hut speed on the lake drive around looking for fish on the ice then stopping 5 feet and setting up another dead lake for perch thanks to the fishing hole and social media oh by the way I fished this lake for 10 years and the last week or so have never seen so many pigs and ignorant people

by Chad_Fen on Jan. 5, 2018

Vehicle access on the north end Twp 574 is blocked off by a 3 foot ice heave.

No bs boys head to north end of lake go out to 25 feet. Some of the biggest perch I. Have seen in along time have to be patient but you spend a day and u shouldn't be dissapointed. Meal worms seemed to be the best honest no bs.

Last weekend on the water till freeze up. Mostly 60 cm Pike and a few small walleye. Looking forward to finding the whitefish and perch this winter! Now it's time for geese, ducks, Bulls, and bucks!👍

by MLBay on Sep. 15, 2017

I will agree with you Tjp. The fishing has gotten much better. The average size of the pike is good, picked up some nice Walleye. Walleye are fewer but bigger than before the kill, but also found a school of small 10" walleye on the long weekend, making me think rebound is on it way. Only caught two of the little ones, but the school mauled by bait, couldn't figure out what was going on for awhile.

Fishing is picking up! Good size walleye and Pike. Amazing how little chat about fishing at this Lake this summer... Too bad, this app would be alot better if people would share about their fishing experience. IMO
