Perch fishing hit and miss ,caught 4 really quick this morning and then they shut off . Lots of little pike

How is the access to island and is there lots of top water

Sorry no small mouth bass in Island lake (Athabasca)! However there is a Island lake by (Smoky lake) that has reported small mouth bass in years past I believe it was stocked back in 1980s

Never fished this lake and heard there maybe smallmouth bass in it. Does anyone know or have catch any in this lake?

The high pressure of fishing, poachers and hutterite netting on this lake has now made pike catch and release. A once flourishing perch population dwindled, hard to find any. No etiquette in summer from boaters. Thank you internet for ruining good fishing spots since 1997.

Lake is very slow. Only caught a couple all weekend and very small fish. Not worth the time.

Wish I could help Fishmits, been out a few times and had the same results 2 small perch and a few pike in the 3 visits this year.real slow this year. Good luck if you head back.

About 36 inches of ice, very little snow coverage With the warm weather, be mindful of changing conditions, there were quite a few trucks out that didn't seem to have any issues.

Caught 30 pike in 3hrs between 2 of us, nothing worth keeping, but it was entertaining!

this lake is great for perch you just got to find them , they are always in the weeds along the islands never have troubles finding them in that area , but pike on the other hand cant keep them off the hook!

Went out yesterday for the day fishing was very slow on north side of the lake. One small perch and a couple nibbles....dose anyone know any good spots? I fish here in the summer and can catch them outa the boat but can't seem to find them in the winter. Was fishing 6-10 ft apx

I have fished Island off and on for the past 25 years. I haven't even seen a whitefish, through the ice nor accidentally caught. If they are there, they certainly weren't in the areas I was fishing.

Hi everyone, is that lake produce any whitefish during the winter any info wil be greatly appreciate.

Anyone have any luck with whitefish here? I came across a 6 pounder floating in dead man's Bay but never been able to hook one.

12" of good ice with 9" of white ice. One truck drove across the lake

Fished Jan/18/2014.....fished from 8:30am -5:00pm....caught 13 pike...decent sized....8 inches of ice.
