Lots of ice 14 inches minimum but usually around 20. No ice heaves anywhere. Fishing was slow. Tried different depths and spots over 2 days caught some walleye and small pike and tried for perch but couldn't find them.

Curious to know what the lake conditions are currently like - we will be coming in from out of town and want to know if the ice has melted enough for a canoe to go out?

Pike are small and very skinny almost look like they are starving. Many Walleye but few over 50cm. I would find an alternative lake if planning a trip.

Has anyone been to corner lake or lane lake to the NE ans SE side of lake? Having problems finding a reliable answer. Fished lots in wolf (a lot of walleye here, always thought they should have a limit of 1 for the lake)

Thinking of heading up to wild on Thursday ..was hoping some one would be kind enough to give me an update as to how the lakes been fishing ..I have a 6 hour drive and was contemplating other lakes in the area but this one looks loaded with good structure...also was woundering about the boat launch..can you launch a 20 foot boat here?

Has anyone been on ice yet? How was the fishing

by Trace667321 on Jul. 24, 2011
Fishing was acceptional. Pike and walleye are biting good. Jigs and 5 of diamonds were the best lure we found! 4 - 8 p.m was the best time, put a full day on the water. Roughly 20 walleye and 15 pike, 2 five pound walleyes and one pike 15 pounds. Should be no problem catching descent fish on this lake.

by Filly on Jul. 4, 2011
Lots of great fishing. 31 fish on 5 hours

Wolf is good walleye in numbers. They are small though. It seems that they have been stunted. You'll catch 15-20 walleye and mabey the biggest a 3lb. Northern pike are not to bad. You shouldn't have a problem catching 10lb plus in a day of fishing if you know where to go.

No Truck access from boat launch due to heavy deep snow.
