by monky man on Jul. 11, 2019
went out a couple days ago, got a nice looking brown into the shallows and it snapped my line, lost a good rooster tail. caught nothing else

by Bigheaddoug on Jun. 9, 2019
Been out in my kayak there three times this year, not a bite. Not sure what's up, see lots of fish on the sonar but they just aren't hungry.
by Tmauthe on Jun. 7, 2019
Anyone been successful here?
by Tmauthe on May. 19, 2019
Has anyone had success fishing here this weekend?

by Mykul on May. 4, 2019
Was out yesterday evening for several hours, east of the rowing club. No bites, no nibbles. Using spoons, spinners and crankbaits. Ice is gone, water is up a bit from last year.

by keithincalgary on Sep. 11, 2018
was out today, caught a small whitefish on the south side. water is still pretty low.

by Fire and the Night on Aug. 28, 2018
Was out for a couple hours this evening. Was a beautiful evening for some fishing. However, no luck. Been out a couple times in the last few days and no action at all. South side by boat lauch is a popular place for shore fising.

by Icefisher1 on Jul. 2, 2018
Went out today for a couple hours and caught an few small pike. Water is still very low and very dirty

by Monsterlander on Jun. 29, 2018
The best place to fish is another lake. Glenmore is a hard place to catch with or without a kayak. The reward can be amazing if your lucky enough to hook into a big one but I've found it has not been the same since the flood. Go to the bow river once it clears up if you want to actually catch fish. I haven't been there this year but I've put a lot of time in on a kayak there in the last few years and I've only caught a few micro pike. Before the floods I could catch a big one everytime out. Let us know if you catch anything and good luck.

by Powell on Jun. 29, 2018
Where's the best spot to fish? I am on summer holidays and want to get out as much as possible. Just shore fishing, possibly kayak some days.. Any info appreciated!!

by SkeptikalScabies on May. 16, 2018
Fished the south shore last night. It was more of a mud hole than a scenic city spot. The water was incredibly low. I saw one whitefish jump, that was about it. I probably wont come back until the water is higher.

by Bigheaddoug on Apr. 20, 2018
Yup, opens May 1 and due to the renovation on the dam they've dropped the water level by almost 12 feet. You can actually see the depression in the ice where it has settled on the bottom and dropped down into the old river channel. Should be an interesting year on Glenmore.

by Jbryant02 on Apr. 19, 2018

by Bigheaddoug on Dec. 4, 2017
Glenmore reservoir is closed for the winter. Opens again May 1.
by James r on Dec. 3, 2017
How thick is the ice

by Papirus on Dec. 3, 2017
I fish there every weekend whole summer, mostly hit and run, caught a large size pike around 23 inch... its a nice relaxing spot, fishing just the bonus...

by Thegaddiman on Aug. 28, 2017
Went out on my kayak for a few hours this evening and C&R'd 5 pike ranging from 13"-17". Had quite a few larger pike following the small ones I caught but the bigger ones weren't biting.

by Fishing Newbie on Aug. 21, 2017
@Thegaddiman

by Thegaddiman on Aug. 20, 2017
I was out for about 3hrs yesterday on my kayak. C&R'd and took pics of the 9 pike I landed ranging in size from 12"-23", lost 3 beside my kayak. I think I found the old river bed, was about 30ft wide and covered with long grass not the cabbage weeds you see closer to the shore.

by Calgary Truth on Aug. 2, 2017
Shame on your race discrimination! You are not a Canadian!

by MrShark on Jul. 22, 2017
This reservoir would be a good place to fish if people weren't keeping every tiny yearling pike they catch. Not much chance for fish to get big. Why oh why would anyone in their right mind feel the need to keep an eight inch pike?

by Bigheaddoug on Jul. 9, 2017
Great morning on Glenmore! Big pike and a monster brown trout! Bigger than the blade on my kayak paddle!

by Bigheaddoug on Jun. 16, 2017
Good action for a couple hours last night from the kayak. Three to the boat and half a dozen almost. Just off shore under the oil derrick.

by Gully on May. 14, 2017
Very murky waters, out for an hour no fish. 2 jumped right as I left. Not great fishing

by Jbryant02 on May. 5, 2017
Fished for 8 hours on Monday by the South Shore and caught 1 22" pike on lure. Not a whole lot of action.

by Fattyffat on May. 5, 2017
Anyone been fishing the South Shore since it opened up? Tips appreciated

by Jbryant02 on Aug. 29, 2016
Fished for 5 hours and caught a whole lot of nothing. Few bites. Lost a lure in the process.
by Jeremiah on Aug. 29, 2016
12" pike with 5 of diamonds lure just before sunset casting in to the weeds just off shore.

by Jbryant02 on Aug. 19, 2016
Went out for a 2 day trip with a buddy and fished for about 13 hours combined and only caught one 15" pike. Had a big trout on my line but it got away. Fought for about 5 minutes with it. 1 pike in 2 days isn't great. Had fun though. Nice looking lake. Good scenery in south Calgary.

by pdingeldien on Aug. 1, 2016
what type of bait is being use here?

by Mykul on Jul. 17, 2016
Caught a 6 pound brown trout this evening. East of the canoe club.

by Bigheaddoug on Jul. 12, 2016

by Mckillop on Jul. 12, 2016

by Bobbyboy1 on Jun. 6, 2016
Caught 2 small pile just north west of dock. Bald eagle swooped in and grabbed one of them!

by Gmare on Jun. 5, 2016
2 12" in an hour this evening between boat ramp and the rock point S.E. corner. Trusty 5 of diamonds.

by kennethjamescnp on Jun. 5, 2016

by kennethjamescnp on Jun. 4, 2016
I've caught too many pike to keep count down at the reservoir. South shoreline. Average size has been around 20" and landed two over 30" 8lbs. Its a little merky in most places right now but the far west corner has been great fun. I've tried many different methods and a 3 1/2" rubber brook trout has brought me the most hits. Good luck fellow anglers.

by Andrew.L on May. 30, 2016
Went there in May 28,2016.
by Bigheaddoug on May. 28, 2016
Got a couple small pike north of the canoe club today. Pretty slow for three hours of casting.

by Kmartyn on May. 24, 2016
Tried the mouth of the elbow today for about an hour and a half. No luck.

by tunafishsammich on May. 5, 2016
Caught a 3 pound and a 5 pound pike today a little east of the sailing club. Was using a storm rubber pike jig.

by coloapnosis on May. 5, 2016
Twice I went here, yesterday and today. Only got 2 tiny pikes. Not as good as it used to. I saw the biggest brown I've ever seen pulled from these waters. It doesn't look like it'll happen again.

by Gworthing24 on May. 3, 2016
Small brown trout and a pike
by Big g on May. 1, 2016
Was down the res today for 3 hours right behind the hospital, not 1 bite

by justinl926 on Apr. 2, 2016

by Dubcepticon on Mar. 13, 2016
Is there still ice?

by Jayjayjay on Dec. 26, 2015
Oh I'm only new to Alberta. Did not know it was closed for ice fishing. Is there good brown trotting here when the ice breaks?

by Nviro on Dec. 9, 2015
Since it's closed all winter until May 1 I would hope not.
by Jayjayjay on Dec. 8, 2015
Hey everybody how's it going. Did anybody go out ice fishing yet and have any luck?

by Rainbowhunter on Oct. 19, 2015
A sleepy night on the lake last night. The lake was like glass, nothing rising

by fishfindermack on Aug. 8, 2015
Caught 2 pike in 1 hour. Biggest was 21". Fishing from boat. Saw some huge schools of perch but biggest was 4"

by Fisheye13 on Jul. 25, 2015
I am new to Alberta and have never fished here before. Where is the best place to park for shore fishing on the south shore?

by arhuomam on Jul. 19, 2015
I went there to fish in the spot (50.998783037993306,-114.09753218765258) which is by the Glenmore Bridge Rd SW but unfortunately no access to that spot anymore. I used to fish there and had lots of luke.

by Bigheaddoug on Jun. 30, 2015
Water level is up about three feet and lots of floating weeds in the water. Got one nice sized pike on the south shore.

by Chimbamex on May. 31, 2015
3hrs canoeing, from yatch club to the rowing club, across to the Heritage P and back to the sailor club. Not even a bite, using lures only.

by skunk'd on May. 22, 2015
Good spots are the point just south of the rowing clubhouse, or the point across the lake from that to the east of the boating club dock. An old timer said his best luck was using a classic red and white spoon for pike. Good luck!

by Foxpa on May. 12, 2015
Can you fish anywhere around the reservoir at this time of year?

by fearnofish on May. 9, 2015
The shoreline?

by ChrisX on May. 8, 2015

by Mullrooney1 on May. 2, 2015
Went out from 6-11 in the morning and didn't catch anything. For the first 45 minutes we were fishing by the sailing club and later on we moved over near the canoe club. Talked to a couple other anglers who said they were also having no luck.
by Imtiaz Ali on May. 2, 2015

by fearnofish on Apr. 24, 2015

by Fisherman4life on Apr. 24, 2015
You guys know the opening day is may 1 right? Keep fishing and some of yall may get caught.... Just wait a week or 2 more.

by keplok m203 on Apr. 18, 2015

by MKat on Sep. 6, 2014
Went today, saw few fish playing, but no bites. There were about 6 or 7 other anglers and fly fishermen and no one caught a thing!!!

by JareS on Aug. 27, 2014
@Yunda what kind of trout was it and was it caught illegally? If so please photograph and document

by Froggy on Aug. 17, 2014
No Walleye rigs but keep a eye out for my Mepps Little Wolf lost one of those.
by Thejuniorkings on Aug. 16, 2014
Went today and last weekend near the Canoe Club. Caught nothing.

by Yunda on Aug. 12, 2014
Was that your walleye rig I found wrapped around a dead 55cm trout in Glenmore Reservoir this morning? Does using a walleye rig make sense in a lake where there's no walleye?

by Froggy on Jul. 24, 2014
Here's a link to the regulations. http://www.albertaregulations.ca/fishingregs/es1.html

by Froggy on Jul. 24, 2014
Shore fishing North Glenmore park, using Mepps Black furys. I had a size 2 chartreuse spots, my buddy had a size 3 yellow spots. We decided to move closer to the inlet. He caught about a 12 inch pike first cast at new spot.
by Jayjayjay on Jul. 16, 2014
Hey how are you guys?! Do anybody know where to go to catch browns?

by Gman on Jul. 7, 2014
Thanks for your comments first time at this lake never found boat Launch just found a car park and fished tryed looking on inter web about we're to fish and rules etc could not find any thing

by Crayfish on Jul. 5, 2014
Hey Gman - try reading the large sign with the long list of reservoir rules found at each boat launch. The Glenmore is only an average fishery at best - years ago it was great!. That's what happens when 1.1 million people live on it's doorstep."Crayfish"

by Gman on Jul. 4, 2014
Please be awere you are not allowed any inflaterbles in the lake did not no my self till boat came and told me ??? Why is there no info on this stuff

by Lunker2014 on Jun. 26, 2014
Your worst day of fishing will always be better than your best day of working
by Jayjayjay on Jun. 24, 2014
What is the best this to use for bait here?

by Kane on Jun. 21, 2014
Every time I go there (once a week is so) I CandR at least 3 pike

by micmcc on Jun. 15, 2014
Caught a 12" pike this morning, just south of the canoe club.

by iFish Guest on May. 25, 2014
Water is murky from the wind, hopefully it will be better later in the season. Saw someone catch a 12 inch pike

by Sonny on May. 25, 2014
Hey Houston that's why it's called fishing instead of catching. Better luck next time. Sonny

by ScottMisfits on May. 24, 2014
We were there for a couple of hours this morning by the dock and it was pretty dead. Although, I'm no fisherman and have no idea what I'm doing. I just picked something from my box and threw it in the water. I'm sure if I knew what I was doing and not just using a shad, I might have done better.
by Houston1 on May. 23, 2014
About as much fun as watching paint dry.

by Bartek on May. 23, 2014
How's the fishing from shore?

by Best65 on May. 12, 2014
Everyone caught fish. Nice sizes too.
by Houston1 on May. 11, 2014
Looks like there were a bunch of people out there today, how did everyone make out?
by iFish Guest on May. 11, 2014
There is a size limit on whitefish , I believe they have to be under 35 cm. I

by Thegaddiman on May. 11, 2014
No size limit but make sure you read the regs.
by iFish Guest on May. 10, 2014
How best, no size limit on trout, perch, and pike. Whitefish gas to be greater than 35cm.

by Best65 on May. 10, 2014
How big do they have to be to keep?

by Best65 on May. 10, 2014
Oh really. I heard to go my the yacht club on ne point
by Houston1 on May. 10, 2014
Right on, there are so many places to choose from. I've never caught anything there but it is relaxing.

by Best65 on May. 10, 2014
I haven't fished there yet lol
by Houston1 on May. 9, 2014
I was hoping to get out there myself. What part of the lake do you fish in?

by Best65 on May. 9, 2014
I'm thinking of going out tomorrow. Anybody care to join ?

by Audiofire12 on May. 9, 2014
Beautiful day but no fish. Banks were populated pretty heavy , water is low and murky.

by Cajed1 on May. 9, 2014
If you guys haven't registered yet or might be interested check out the EastSlope Kayak Fishing tourney. Jun 21 gull lake. Open to all solo, human powered watercraft. Kayak Raffle just for registering and a ton of great prizes.
by iFish Guest on May. 8, 2014
That sounds like fun but I don't have room for a kayak. Inflatable would be more my style.

by Best65 on May. 8, 2014
Brazuka75 would pontoon boats count? Lol

by Thegaddiman on May. 8, 2014
Brazuca75 I'm in!!! Busy this weekend, but let me know when and where your headed out.

by Brazuca75 on May. 7, 2014
Any interest by anyone in getting a kayak fishing club/group started out of Calgary?

by iFish Guest on May. 6, 2014
Went out with my son and landed a pike with mepps agilia 3

by iFish Guest on May. 5, 2014
Out there on Sunday for a couple hours, south side. Caught a 50cm brown trout on a spoon. Very little ice left. GET OUT THERE!

by Best65 on May. 3, 2014
I like to eat what I catch too. Haven't ate pike yet though. But looking forward to trying it.

by FishOn420 on May. 3, 2014
Yes, you will need a leader, pike have big mouths and sharp teeth. Next time I plan on going I'll post something. Just a warning, I eat what I catch, not a fan of sportfishing.
by Best65 on May. 3, 2014
Thanks fishon420 I'll still need a leader on the spoons shouldn't i? We should get out fishing some time.

by FishOn420 on May. 3, 2014
I only go for pike here, I use spoons(gold, yellow, red or orange combos) Tiger colored raps work good too._I know a few guys who do well with flyrod for trout.

by Best65 on May. 3, 2014
What is good to use here? New to Alberta and want to catch some fish lol

by FishOn420 on May. 2, 2014
Got a couple pike today in the rain, 5ofDiamonds just off the point NE of the sailing club. Water is a little low right now, not sure if that helped or hindered.

by iFish Guest on Apr. 22, 2014
Right on.. I left them a message about that sonny. Can't wait until may 1st.

by Sonny on Apr. 22, 2014
Be careful because IFish has the wrong opening date the actual opening date is May 1 not April 1

by Houston1 on Apr. 12, 2014
I know , no fishing yet, just checked regs. Ifish has April 1.

by Houston1 on Apr. 12, 2014
Anyone been out here yet? Any breaks in the ice?

by iFish Guest on Mar. 16, 2014
No fishing through the ice.

by Best65 on Mar. 16, 2014
Hey there. Just wondering if I am aloud to fish glenmore res right now? Is there still ice on it? Or can I use my spinner rod?

by Smackfish on Dec. 25, 2013
Thanks for the info guys I appreciate it.

by iFish Guest on Dec. 25, 2013
Smackfish, unfortunately the res is closed to fishing during the time it is frozen, would be fun for sure but not with the current regulations. -boots

by iFish Guest on Dec. 25, 2013
cant fish on it, bilaw will fine you or call the city police to have you removed :)

by Smackfish on Dec. 25, 2013
I have fished here in the summer and had some luck but I am curious if this resivoir freezes over well enough in the winter to icefish on?

by iFish Guest on Oct. 27, 2013
Caught a 26" brown yesterday in my kayak directly in front of the paddleboat dock at Heritage Park. Use a balanced leech pattern. Beauty fish; beauty day.

by Sebbritton on Oct. 26, 2013
Where's the best spot on the reservoir to catch brown trout and what's a great lure. Thanks

by Sebbritton on Oct. 26, 2013

by iFish Guest on Oct. 26, 2013
When is it best to fish for brown trout in the glen more res and what's the best lure. Thanks

by GoldenTrout22 on Oct. 26, 2013
Got a monster doe brown with bulging belly filled with eggs. Caught on a rapala xrap orange. Also caught a little hammer handle and had some bigger pike follow lure in. C&R

by iFish Guest on Oct. 18, 2013
best bait/lure for brown trout?

by iFish Guest on Oct. 8, 2013
Wednesday October 2nd around 6 pm I hooked into a monstrous brown trout about twenty feet out from shore in about ten to fifteen feet of water. It turned out to be the largest fish I have ever caught in Alberta of any species! Caught on a Rapala perch crankbait and weighing in at 11 lbs 5 ounces and 31 and a quarter inches long. This will definitely be a memorable day for many years to come. Only a few more weeks of fishing at Glenmore till the season closes though unfortunately, it used to be open all year only a few years ago ! Good luck fishing !

by Trink on Sep. 28, 2013
I'm planning on heading up to Glenmore this afternoon. Can anyone suggest some spots to try? Going to be starting out from Heritage Park.
by Fish-on on Sep. 21, 2013
Perch early morning. Pike chase them into shore. Bobber fish with leaches.

by iFish Guest on Sep. 10, 2013
Beautiful evening tonight. I was fishing near south Glenmore Park from 5 till 9 and caught a monster brown trout close to ten pounds and had hit after hit from hungry pike. A few trout jumping for flies and many pike following my lure back to shore ! All catch and release. You can use bait here but no bait fish. You are allowed to use smelts however. I was using spoons and spinners. Good luck !

by Thegaddiman on Sep. 8, 2013
Got skunked this afternoon, not even a bite or chaser and got wet by the late afternoon rain ... Gotta love fishing.

by Thegaddiman on Sep. 2, 2013
Caught 3 pike beside Glenmore Trail again. Then 6 more east of GSC. All C&R.

by Yolofishing on Sep. 2, 2013
Me and a friend have gone out several times over the past yr today we tried the reservoir we tryed near the windmill and the sailing club both spots we got nothing haven't caught anything in yr we have no boat just shore fish if anyone has any hints I'd love to hear them Ty thriller29@msn.com

by mauricedaher on Sep. 2, 2013
Fishing at glenmore has always been amazing... Everytime I go, I always fish by the golf course and I average 2 to 3 pikes everytime. But right before the flood I caught a brown trout about 3 feet, close to about 5 lbs . Was an amazing fight... I'm planning on going next week taking a kayak... But always catch and release, we won't big monsters in there...

by iFish Guest on Sep. 1, 2013
is it better to fish during the early morning or later at night. Im going to be heading out tomorrow at around 6:30pm ill be fishing around the entrance of heritage park and also head down to the south side of the resivour. just wanted to know what you guys thought

by Thegaddiman on Aug. 31, 2013
Went from 7:30pm til 9 and got 3 pike on the south side rocks of glenmore trail.

by Thegaddiman on Aug. 30, 2013
I've fished on the north side on both sides of Glenmore trail on the rocks and all along the east side upto the dam. The only area you can't fish is on the shore on the west side(golf course side), patrol boat booted me out due too erosion control & too steep. But they've never said anything to me when I see them on the east side.

by iFish Guest on Aug. 30, 2013
Is it legal to fish in the nothern part (area between Glenmore trail and Dam)? I've got some fishing spots there, but that area is fenced.
by Audiofire12 on Aug. 29, 2013
6 inch pike in 1 hour. Anyone know if trout can be found here.

by Frankfishes on Aug. 28, 2013

Thegaddiman - thanks man. Much appreciated. I'm heading there tonight to try my luck.

by Wildjon on Aug. 27, 2013
How good has the bow fishing been since the floods for all of you, it's been horrible for me oh and are you aloud bait at glenmore?

by Thegaddiman on Aug. 27, 2013
My routine is to park at the "H", start fishing at the closest spot to where I parked. I walked the bend until I hit the dock then fish the other side of the dock til I reach the chain link fence. I'm never in the same spot more than 10 min unless I'm getting lots of hits. Cast in a fan pattern covering as much water as you can, if no bites move another 15ft. In the last 2 yrs doing this same routine I've caught lots of small pike, a 23" rainbow, 29-1/2" rainbow and a 26" brown.

by iFish Guest on Aug. 26, 2013
Hey Thegaddiman and Stevep27 - can you tell me exactly where near Heritage Park you are fishing? By the docks? And are you fishing from shore or on a boat? I was there on the 25th and didn't even get one hit.

by iFish Guest on Aug. 26, 2013
Went on august 11 from 6-9 pm caught one pike just shy of 2 feet. No other bites.

by Thegaddiman on Aug. 25, 2013
Arrived at 11am, left at 3pm, caught & released 6 pike all under 24".

by iFish Guest on Aug. 22, 2013
I was fishing near Heritage Park yesterday and caught a 38 inch Pike 13 1/2 pounds largest I've ever seen or caught here. Amazing fishing this year !!

by Stevep27 on Aug. 20, 2013
Got 6 pikes today at glenmore reservoir near heritage park. The biggest is 22in using a spinner.

by Stevep27 on Aug. 17, 2013
I got it in glenmore reservoir those 2 pikes.

by iFish Guest on Aug. 14, 2013
where can you find perch and trout?

by iFish Guest on Aug. 13, 2013
Hey Steve27 where were you fishing at?

by Stevep27 on Aug. 13, 2013
I got 51cm pike using a yellow and red spoon.

by iFish Guest on Aug. 6, 2013
Caught 2 smallish Pike near the canoe club on separate days. Seems like these little guys are hanging out 10-20 feet away from the shore, laughing as everyone casts over them.

by Frankfishes on Aug. 6, 2013
Wicked place to kill a few hours. Water has cleared and the browns are hungry!

by Nspekta on Jul. 19, 2013
Its been pretty good after the flood.. caught a couple smallish pike near the canoe club yesterday! Water still a little murky but using some soft plastic fake bait fish was working!

by iFish Guest on Jul. 18, 2013
Anyone fishing McGregor ? I can't catch anything but small pike ! Any info appreciated

by iFish Guest on Jul. 17, 2013
jbanman can you please pin point a place on the map where it is. Is it near the the dock by heritage park is? or near that huge windmill at heritage, thanks.

by Jbanman on Jul. 11, 2013
Off the heritage park point drops down fast, monster browns hanging out using worms off the bottom... Only problem is the no trespassing sign and the search and rescue who enforces it!

by iFish Guest on Jun. 27, 2013
caught 3 pike last week. my buddy caught what I think was a record brown trout!

by Nspekta on Jun. 24, 2013
No motorized boats allowed except for the police boat. You can launch a canoe in many different places, including the canoe club. Im pretty sure you dont have to pay. However, its going to be awhile until your allowed and until the water clears up

by Shutdownbypass on Jun. 24, 2013
Is there a no-motorized boat policy here? I understand this is Calgary's water supply. My family recently moved here and I would like to try fishing here this summer. Are there public boat launches? I don't mind paying the city or government a launch fee but I refuse to pay some gated community or country club for access to launch my boat

by iFish Guest on Jun. 23, 2013
I fished hear 8 years ago and caught a 9 inch pike my first pike and they put up an awesome fight. I know there is trout there but have never seen one and there is Suckers. A canoe would be ideal since younger pike stay close to shallows and older ones in the more deep ends.

by iFish Guest on Jun. 20, 2013
This year I have only caught one trout was about 2 1/2 pounds. This lake is hard to fish but has lots of pike and trout are hard to catch but i've seen some 10lb's and more but its rare.

by iFish Guest on Jun. 17, 2013
caught a fish 2/3 times i've been here. Caught a decent sized pike this evening with a rapala countdown perch colored

by iFish Guest on Jun. 8, 2013
absolutely nothing but blaming it on the weather. cant really find any good spots either?

by iFish Guest on Jun. 2, 2013
Please catch and release as much as u can, we want monsters in this lake!!

by Nspekta on May. 26, 2013
Usually no action but have caught some pike. Saw a huge 10-12 lb rainbow jump tho. Water pretty murky right now cause of recent rain

by Frankfishes on May. 23, 2013
Always a good time! My buddy pulled 2 pike out over 2 feet last night.

by slimers on May. 12, 2013
Bobby woods I think you've got the wrong lake there.
by Bobby woods on May. 9, 2013
5 walleye 20 pike in a day off jigs. No keepers but pretty busy
View on Map

by Brazuca75 on May. 4, 2013
Here's what the Glenmore bylaw says: No power motors No fishing from docks or ramps (fishing is permitted in non-motorized boats and along the shore) If you see a power boat it's the boat patrol/rescue from city of Calgary.

by iFish Guest on May. 4, 2013
Are electric motors allowed on the rez?

by iFish Guest on Apr. 21, 2013
Opens May 1st. Make sure to check the regs.

by Ckpossy on Jan. 6, 2013
Cannot fish from Oct 31 until ice is off some time in may. Just a heads up

by Chan man on Sep. 2, 2012
No bites today…

by Fishy on Aug. 26, 2012
Not a bite yesterday around midday.

by Johnny Ray on Aug. 13, 2012
Evening caddis fishing with a Size 6 Triwing caddis produced some decent Browns on top. Pike fishing during the day with Dbl Bunnies -deceivers in Red/White and Yellow/ red and Chartruese/Black is usually good bet for a pike or two on full sinking lines. This truly is a diamond in the rough and keeps us coming back year after year.

by Brazuca75 on Aug. 7, 2012
We got 8 pike from 7 to 9:30pm west of the glenmore sailing club, on the south side on Aug 5th. One good size pike, 2 medium size and the rest small. Overall an enjoyable time... Looking forward to exploring it more...

by Cain on Aug. 4, 2012
What is the best time of day to fish for pike ?

by Reider on Aug. 21, 2011
Caught a 20" brown directly east of the canoe club near the point where the steam boat boards. Seems like good action there and the point breaks the current so it should be a good spot for some flashy spinners or cranks. I used a crank bait which seems to be a big thing this year with the fish being so picky with food

by Alex on Aug. 14, 2011
Nothing.... Second time fishing there and had no luck.

by Beeguy on Aug. 8, 2011
Pike in the weedbeds Pike, mostly small, up to ~6lbs

by Foreman on Aug. 6, 2011
Fished north point from sailing club at 6:30 am. Tried everything ... spoons, spinners, rapalas, buzz bombs but caught nothing but weeds. Guy next to me caught one small pike on a Mepps Cyclops #3.

by Beeguy on Jul. 28, 2011
Pike! ....on just about anything

by Beeguy on Jul. 26, 2011
No kidding, I saw a trout rise yesterday. Fishing is OK for pike.

by Pete-aarrr on Jul. 24, 2011
I have been on the water extensively and the pike are dominant in the waters. North side of heritage park by the boat lift I picked up what I believe was a school of fish (poss perch 20' down) on the sonar but no luck bringing anything in.

by Kekekekerri on Jul. 23, 2011
What is a good choice for bait at this spot?

by Nick on Jul. 23, 2011
Water looking real clear pike hitting yellow/black five of diamonds 8 year old daughter caught a nice 12lb pike near the dock

by Wilverine on Jul. 21, 2011
Anybody catching perch and where and with what

by EddieRV on Jul. 2, 2011
Water is starting to clear up

by Jimmy9179 on Jun. 17, 2011
I caught my fist pike there! but it all depend on your luck!

by ElBee on Jun. 7, 2011
Water very discoloured. No luck with spoons or smelts.

by Blair on May. 17, 2011
Can be a tough lake to fish. But I had some luck today. Caught a 20" pike off the shore. Within my first 10 casts. It's a good body of water if you want something close and live in Calgary.

by Glenmore Resivior on May. 12, 2011
I've fished this lake quite a bit, caught a fair amount of small pike. Seen a couple trout caught but they are very scarce. If you had a canoe there is alot of spots I can see that would most likely hold some big pike. Overall for being right in Calgary city limits it's a good lake. Sun up and sun down are the best times to fish.
by Masa on Jul. 27, 2020
Seems all of the pike are tiny caught 2 from the shore, 1 by the overpass and 1 on the north side by the golf course both about 12in
