Beautiful place to fish. Hike takes just over an hour one-way. Lots of people throughout the day. Wind made it difficult but still caught two small cutties on an adams fly fishing. Creek has lots of small ones as well but nearly impossible to fish without spooking them. Was fishing in the Sw corner of the lake.

Put a T-Bone on a 10/1 hook and chuck it on the path. I caught a 800 pound brown last year. And if the trails open canbtry to catch some fish too.

Better check before heading up, we were there last weekend and the trail is closed due to a Grizzly in the area

Awesome little hike to Chester. Went up July 2 and between the 4 of us we caught 9 cutthroat. Drys work well when they start rising

Went up July 3. Beauty hike in gorgeous scenery at the lake. When calm sight fishing is possible also. Plenty of action especially during major and minor periods. Highly recommend checking out this lake!

I do a hike into this lake twice a year. It is a great hike in, once at the lake the view is wonderful. Have had 30 fish days. Lots of small Cuts. Only had 3 Dolly last year. Dry fly with a drop fly under it as well has always worked.
